Inventario de las macroalgas de arribazón en playa parguito, isla Margarita, Venezuela

Resumen

RESUMEN: Se realizó un inventario de las macroalgas de arribazón en playa Parguito, para lo cual se efectuaron muestreos mensuales a lo largo de la costa entre noviembre 2012 y octubre 2013. Se registraron 31 especies de macroalgas, de las cuales 17 corresponden al Phylum Rhodophyta (55%), 10 al Phylum Heterokontophyta (32%) y 4 al Phylum Chlorophyta (13%); los taxones empleados en este estudio quedaron establecidos según el siguiente esquema: Orden, Familia, Género y especie en: Rhodophyta (6, 9, 12, 17), Heterokontophyta (2, 2, 5, 10) y Chlorophyta (3, 3, 3, 4). Del total de especies identificadas se registran dos nuevos reportes para las costas del estado Nueva Esparta como lo son Gracilaria occidentalis y Pneophyllum fragile, ambas pertenecientes al Phylum Rhodophyta.

ABSTRACT: An inventory of the uplift macro algae present in “Parguito” beach in the state of Nueva Esparta, Venezuela was made. Monthly samplings were taken throughout the beach coastline between November 2012 and October 2013. 31 species of macro algae were registered, 17 of those correspond to the Rhodophyta Phylum (55%), 10 to the Heterokontophyta Phylum (32%) and 4 to the Chlorophyta Phylum (13%). The taxa employed for this study were established as follows: Order, Family, Genus and Species for Rhodophyta (6, 9, 12, 17), Heterokontophyta (2, 2, 5, 10) and Chlorophyta (3, 3, 3, 4). From the total of species identified, two new registries were reported for Nueva Esparta’s coastline, Gracilaria occidentalis and Pneophyllum fragile, both belonging to the Rhodophyta Phylum.
