INCLUSIONES CITO PLASMÁTICAS INDUCIDAS POR EL VIRUS DE LAMANCHAANILLADADE LA LECHOSA, TIPO P (PRSV-P), EN CALABACÍN, Cucurbita pepo L.
Resumen
Se inocularon plantas sanas de calabacín, Cucurbita pepo L, con el virus papaya ringspot, tipo P (PRSV-P), potyvirus que causa la mancha anillada en la lechosa, Cartea papaya L, con el objeto de dilucidar la citopatogenicidad asociada mediante un estudio ultraestructural. Se encontraron inclusiones cilíndricas y amorfas que son inducidas por el virus, asociadas en los primeros estadios de infección con los plasmodesmos, resaltando la presencia de inclusiones cilíndricas "pinwheels" o en forma de aspas de molinos, que son exclusivamente inducidas por potyvirus. También se observaron invaginaciones y alteraciones en la membrana plasmática y en los cloroplastos, respectivamente, relacionados con la infección.

ABSTRACT
In this research, healthy pumpkin plants, Cucurbita pepo L, were inoculated with the papaya ringspot virus, type P (PRSV-P), a potyvirus which causes the annulated spot in the papaya, Carica papaya L. Our purpose was to evaluate the cytopathogenicity associated to it, by means of an ultrastructural study. We found cylindrical and amorphous inclusions, which are induced by the virus and are associated in the first stages of infection with the plasmodesmata. Most conspicuous was the presence of pinwheel cylindrical inclusions, which are exclusively induced by potyviruses. We also observed invaginations and alterations, in the plasmatic membrane and in the chloroplast respectively, which were related with this infection.
