Efecto de la quitosana sobre el cultivo de tabaco (Nicotiana tabacum Lin.) en condiciones edafoclimáticas del municipio Guisa, Granma, Cuba | Effect of chitosan on tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum Lin.) under edaphoclimatic conditions at Guisa municipality, Granma, Cuba
Resumen
El trabajo se realizó en condiciones de producción, en un área tabacalera sobre un suelo Fluvisol con la variedad de tabaco Habana 92, bajo condiciones edafoclimáticas en el Municipio Guisa, Provincia de Granma Cuba, en la campaña 2011-2012, con el objetivo de evaluar la respuesta agronómica del cultivo de tabaco a la aplicación de quitosana. Para ello se realizó un experimento donde se aplicó una dosis de 300 mg.ha-1 de este bioestimulante a 0,5 ha del área sembrada y 0,5 ha sin aplicación del producto. La primera medición se realizó al momento de la aplicación y la segunda al momento de la cosecha, a diez plantas, seleccionadas al azar, en las que se evaluaron: altura de la planta, número de hojas, longitud y ancho de la hoja y rendimiento agrícola. Para el análisis estadístico se utilizó un análisis de varianza de clasificación simple y donde existió diferencias significativas se aplicó la prueba de comparación simple de t-student c on p ≤ 0 ,05 mediante el paquete estadístico Statistica versión 8.0. Se demostró la influencia que la quitosana ejerció en las cuatro variables del crecimiento evaluadas, debido a que en todos los indicadores, al aplicar el bioestimulante fueron superiores con respecto al
control, aunque no se encontraron diferencias significativas para el rendimiento agrícola.

Granma Province, Cuba, in the period 2011-2012, with the objective to evaluate the agronomic response of the tobacco crop to the application of chitosan. For this, an experiment was
carried out where a dose of 300 mg ha-1 of this biostimulant was applied to 0.5 ha of the planted area and 0.5 ha without application of product. The first measurement was made at the chitosan application time and the second one at harvesting to ten random selected plants which were evaluated for plant height, leaf number and leaf length and wide and agronomic yield. For statistical analysis a simple classification analysis of variance was used and where differences existed the tstudent
simple comparison test was applied with p ≤ 0.05 using the statistical package Statistica version 8.0. It was shown the influence that chitosan exerted on the four variables of growth evaluated, due to that in all indicators, the biostimulant application caused higher values in comparison to the control, although there was not any significant differences between application treatment vs. not application for agronomic yield.
